Protect Your smartphone Hot-spot
You might be wondering howyour data got exhausted without you surfing the net that much right from the time you subscribe or perhaps, you just surf the net for some minutes and then locked your phone maybe charging it or something else and you jotice your data has been exhausted. In most of the smartphones, there is no 100% protection if the phone is been locked either by Pattern or password, that is to say, the nearby hackers who might have one way or the other to operate your phone might find access to some important functions like hot-spot.
How does this happens??
Most of the android phones has few functions made available even when the phone is locked. These fintiobs vary from one android to other, but the commonest among others are Bluetooth, hotspot and Wi-Fi. Now, if anybody could have access to operate your phone, this menu can be dragged down even if your phone is been locked and such a person can on your hot-spot and data then uses his/her Wi-Fi to connect to your hot-spot and exhausts all your data. How do I stop this?
To stop this:
1. Go to tethering and hot-spot setting on your phone
2. Click on Wi-Fi hot-spot
3. Click on setup Wi-Fi hot-spot on the page that appear
4. On the page that appears, click on the menu unddr security, chnage it from none to WPA2 PSK and a password box will appear, then input any password of your choice.
5. Save and quit.
Once the above steps is been followed promptly, at anytime anyone intends to use your hot-spot it will request for password. Keep visiting for more updates
Thanks
